Frank Body Scrub Review

Written By Gracie

I had to try Frank scrub after seeing so many selfies online with people covered in the stuff. If you want to check this out for yourself then go on instagram and search #Frankbod…and so you get the gist of what you will look like with it on, here’s my awkward half selfie:

After looking at their website I fell in love with the way they have marketed themselves. They are fun and silly, using tag lines like “get naked. get dirty. get rough. get clean.”

The price for the UK is £11.95, which is pretty good considering all the hype that surrounds it. At the moment you can only buy frank directly from their website but I’m sure they will start expanding soon. For “their british babes” it’s free delivery, which is always a bonus.

They were really nice people to deal with and responded quickly to emails. I received ‘Frank’ within 2 days of ordering it and I have to say it was perfectly packaged to fit through your letter box so you don’t have to worry about being at home to sign something.

I ordered the original coffee scrub and have used it about 6 times now. The smell is delicious, like a coffee chocolate orange.

You have to get in the shower for two reasons, you need to be wet all over and the stuff gets EVERYWHERE. Once you are wet all over, turn the shower off and start scrubbing it over your body. They say to use 2 small handfuls and scrub in circular motions concentrating on problem areas. It is pretty coarse stuff so I can imagine it would be painful for people with sensitive skin, which is why they recommend you do a patch test first. I found it ok but couldn’t scrub too hard without it hurting.

You then need to wait so it can work its magic. This was fine a month ago because London was still warm but now it’s cold the waiting around while damp is pretty hard. They recommend you leave it on for up to 10 minutes but I could only last 4 before I was covered in goosebumps and had to turn the hot water back on.

I use it all over including my face and I have to say the results are wonderful. Once you’ve washed the grains off your skin is left so smooth because of the oils. My skin looked radiant and fresh with all my dead skin gone revealing new skin that looked more even in colour and more alive. The smell sticks to your skin, which is unfortunate if you don’t like it, but I love it. I also find that the coffee smell really wakes me up, so it’s really good to use first thing in the morning helping to kick-start your day.

The packaging is waterproof and looks shabby chic, which I love. I would definitely recommend this product.
