This is such a good way to kick start your day. This breakfast is full of antioxidants and energy enhancing minerals from all the ingredients like the manuka honey, boosting you immune system and helping to fight off viruses. The matcha powder contains all the benefits of green tea but at much higher concentrations. Matcha is 100% natural and is the organic green tea leaf ground down to a fine powder. It is packed full of essential vitamins and minerals.
Matcha has I-theanine and caffeine a combination which increases alertness and concentration. It’s full of antioxidants, increases energy levels and endurance and is known to improve memory!
The bee pollen is also full of antioxidants and nutrients; enhancing energy, boosting the immune system, supporting the cardiovascular system and has been known to help with infertility.
Bananas are another incredible energy source and packed full of fibre, which supports the digestive system.
I soaked my oats overnight (which is optional) because this makes them easier for your body to digest, therefore allowing more nutrients to be absorbed into your blood.
This is a really quick simple breakfast or snack that will keep you going until lunch because of the slow releasing sugars, keeping you fuller for longer.
1 1/2 x Handful of oats
1 x tsp Match powder
1 x tbsp Manuka honey
1 x Banana
1 x tsp Bee pollen (to garnish)
1 tsp Chia seeds (to garnish)
NB: If you are soaking your oats make sure you do this the night before.
Pour your soaked oats into a pan over a medium heat
Add the matcha powder and honey and mix well. Cook for 5-7 minutes making sure you keep stirring it.
Pour it into a bowl and decoratively place the chopped banana over it. Sprinkle on the bee pollen and chia seeds and serve immediately.
