Sophie’s Favourites

1. Buddhify App

A lot has been going on recently and as someone who gets quite easily overwhelmed, this app has been brilliant!  It has a meditation exercise for all sorts of occasions, from waking up to sitting on a bus….as well as the usual ones.  It’s only £2.99 and well worth it.

2. Designed 2 Eat Fudge Brownies

We had these sent to us recently and they literally lasted a day in our household!  They are Gluten free, Dairy Free, Wheat Free, Egg Free, Grain Free, Soy Free, Corn Free & contain only naturally occurring sugars.  They are dense and fudgy, have a great chocolate taste to them as well as a nice nutty texture.  They are also really filling, so a great healthy alternative to that sweet treat.  Designed2Eat are launching some new flavours soon, and we can’t wait to try them!

3. Homemade Hummus

I started making hummus because it was hard to get in Singapore, but now I’ve become obsessed with making my own as I actually do prefer it to the stuff you get in the supermarkets….especially because it’s additive free and you can flavour it however you want!  Click on the picture for basic hummus recipe.

4. Heel Stoppers

One of my best friends recently got married…it was a beautiful day set in a big marque in her parent’s garden.  As you can imagine, all the girls were in dainty heels which weren’t very grass friendly so Charlotte bought a load of heel stoppers!  Such a brilliant idea and they worked so would definitely recommend them for any outdoor summer event.

5. Pukka Fibre Powder

It is so important to include fibre in your diet, this Pukka fibre powder is easy to mix into water first thing and contains all sorts of other things which benefit your healthy, from hormone-balancing liquorice root, to mood-boosting cacao.  It also contains flaxseeds which are a great source of good fats.

Gracie’s Favourites:

1. Frank Body- Coconut Body Scrub

I have been a fan off Frank Body scrub for a while now and ran out of my original coffee scrub so recently started using the coconut. It’s summer so there is a lot more skin on show so this is great because it really helps your skin glow due to its mix of hydrating and nourishing ingredients. The ingredients in the scrub help get rid of dry skin, flaky skin, certain skin conditions like cellulite, stretch marks, eczema and psoriasis. The main ingredients of the coconut coffee scrub are roasted and ground robusta coffee beans, grape seed oil, coconut oil and jojoba beads. It works and smells great!

2. Botanic Lab Cold Pressed Juice- Charcoal

I first tried this at the ‘well to do event’ that we attended a few weeks ago and have since then become a huge fan. The charcoal flavour is an isotonic blend with medical grade charcoal raw cane which cleanses, reloads and balances the body. Raw Japanese yuzu and lemon deliver a vitamin C hit, which gives the flavour an intense citrus tang. It is delicious and so good for you.

3. Biona Hemp Seeds

I have been loving the Biona hemp seeds this month. I add a tbsp to my nutribullet along with other ingredients before blending. Hemp seeds are a complete protein and full of vitamins, minerals and essential fats. The most powerful of all the seeds!

4) The Edinburgh Natural Skincare Company ‘Frankincense and Bergamot Face Cream- Anti-Ageing’

This is a rich anti ageing face cream enriched with organic unrefined Shea Butter, Avocado Butter, organic Argan Oil, East Lothian Beeswax which they clean and refine themselves. Scented with Frankincense and Bergamot essential oils and completely free of any artificial preservatives, colourings or fragrance oils. It’s so hydrating and nourishing for your skin. I don’t use it everyday because it is quite heavy, I use it about twice a week and massage it into my skin just before bed.

5) Naturya Acai Powder

I add a tsp of this to my smoothie in the morning because it is packed full of antioxidants, vitamins, essential fats and fibre. It is amazing at boosting energy so is a great alternative to your morning coffee.
