Review: Spoon Cereals

Written by Sophie

We are so excited that a delicious new granola has just been launched!!

The best thing about this granola is the taste….Annie and Jonny (founders of Spoon) spent several years selling their cereals via pop-up stalls and fairs; experimenting with flavours and variations, getting feedback from their customers to find out exactly what people wanted.

Spoon are starting their national launch with the two ‘best-sellers’, which is the Cinnamon & Pecan (our favourite) and the Apple & Peanut…

Now…not only are their first two products delicious, they also only use a short list of top quality ingredients to create the taste of home baking.  For us Squirrel Sisters, this is something that is really important as we try our best to avoid anything that is processed or contains refined sugar.  Spoon use completely natural and high quality ways of sweetening their granolas such as honey, maple syrup and apple juice.

Another thing that I MUST mention here is that Spoon Cereals are backed by two Dragons!!  That’s right…Spoon Cereal is the breakfast of choice for Deborah Meaden and Peter Jones!  Deborah told us at the launch that she now finds any excuse throughout the day for this delicious granola.  And we can completely see why.  The video is up on YouTube if you want to have a little look at how they won the dragons over.

In summary, why do we love Spoon?

  • It is delicious!
  • They use high quality fills you up and keeps you going unlike a lot of other granolas which are full of sugar and leave you hungry.
  • We love their mission – to give everyone a reason to jump out of bed in the morning!
  • The branding and packaging is great – we are suckers for anything that looks good in our kitchen cupboards (and it was designed by Annie herself!) and the zip lock bag that it comes in makes it SO much easier to get to, and keep fresh.
  • It’s made in the UK, by a great duo who are passionate about what they do, and they do it with our best interests at heart.

Please note that these opinions are completely our own – we would never write about products that we didn’t believe supported our beliefs about high quality ‘clean’ foods and our mission to show people that healthy can be fun, easy…and above all delicious.
